The overall goal of MULTISENSOR is to develop a platform that integrates the distributed, multilingual and multimedia content found in heterogeneous resources such as new stories and global economic data in order to provide a unified view of it to the users (e.g. journalists, entrepreneurs). MULTISENSOR builds upon the concept of multidimensional content integration by considering the following dimensions: language, multimedia, semantics, context, emotion, time and location. The project aims at mining, interpreting correlating, linking and summarizing economic information and news items in order to provide multilingual summarization and decision support. The backbone of the involved strategies will be semantics in order to allow for the correlation, common understanding and integration of the information retrieved. The developed technologies will be validated with the aid of 2 main use cases: a) International mass media news monitoring and b) SME internationalisation.
