The MEDWAYCAP project aims to inform and raise awareness of the general public, but also of the relevant stakeholders, for the recovery and reuse of wastewater as non-conventional water resources through the promotion of best practices, aiming to mitigate water shortages locally and regionally.

More specifically, the goals of the project are:

The consolidation and improvement of the knowledge framework related to the management of non-conventional water resources, through the comparative evaluation and capitalization of best practices.

Strengthening the impact and value of innovative integrated non-conventional water resources management solutions through a Mediterranean capitalization alliance for collective learning.

Enhance the reproduction and integration of best practices and labels for decision-makers at local / national and interregional level through cross-border initiatives to address environmental challenges, promote the green economy, sustainable development and long-term development in the Mediterranean region.

CERTH/ITI Role

ITI will support the activities of re-use and upgrading of existing internet service platforms for the capitalization of results of existing projects and the transfer of knowledge. In addition, it will collaborate for the formation of material for the presentation and communication of these products to the general international public and will participate in the writing of relevant project reports.
