The MEDUSA project is funded by the European Defence Agency (EDA). The goal of the project is the research and development of methodologies for information fusion from multiple sensors with application in the situational awareness in urban warfare operations, thus delivering a Multi Sensor Data Fusion Grid for Urban Situational Awareness. ITI’s contribution to the project focuses in the fields of information fusion, video processing and knowledge-based analysis.

The project will enable a more complete situational awareness during crisis in urban environments (e.g. terrorist attacks) and will moreover enable efficient dealing of these kind of situations by providing high level civilian and military force protection.
