2gether’s main ambition is to propose innovative ways of widening our cultural heritage. To achieve this, 2gether will not treat the general public as a passive recipient of information but instead as an active member that will play a key role in disseminating our cultural heritage in a personalized manner. 2gether will encourage users to create and share their artistic work in real time as well as their personal experiences and impressions, while at the same time validating and enriching the content with available relevant information on digital cultural resources. At the same time, an experiential lab will be created for the understanding and virtual tour of the history and evolution of contemporary art, based on the Greek visual art scene, the creators that were active inside and outside the Greek borders, as well as the influences that shaped their course. The tour will reach present time and the future, featuring emerging Greek contemporary artists who will choose to project their work through 2gether. To achieve this, a virtual reality tour will be designed and installed in the suitable 3D theatre already operating in MOMus. At the same time, 2gether will implement real-time crowdsourcing that will act as a platform for promoting new artists, as well as collecting data related to user experiences and impressions. The reliability of shared data will be validated with the usage of advanced user authentication models fully integrated into the proposed platform. The system will be evaluated in practice through extensive pilot actions according to a credible evaluation framework to be developed.
