Postdoctoral Research Associate

Georgios Tsoumanis received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Teleinformatics and Management, Technological Educational Institute of Epirus in 2008. In 2014 he obtained his MSc in Informatics in the subject area of Information Systems from the Department of Informatics, Ionian University. In 2018 he completed his PhD studies at the same university. His research interests include issues related to energy consumption in wireless sensor networks, recharging of devices in wireless sensor networks, and the placement of services in network environments. He has participated in many research programs, including the 'A Pilot Wireless Sensor Networks System for Synchronized Monitoring of Climate and Soil Parameters in Olive Groves’ and the 'Buildings, Culture and Environment in a Virtual World of the Ionian Islands for Touristic Promotion’.
