Tropios Pantelis works as a Research Associate at Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) since September 2015. He received his Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece in 2014. His diploma thesis concentrated on the design and construction of a Smart Plug Network based on the Arduino microprocessor and the Zigbee Communication protocol. His main research interests include energy efficiency, smart grids, energy informatics, power system economics, energy markets design, microgrids, demand response programs, smart buildings and automation.
