Dr. Panagiotis Symeonidis has a BSc in Physics (AUTH, 1995), an MSc in Environmental Physics (AUTH, 1997), an MSc in Geographic Information Science (Lund, 2016) and a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics and enviromatics (AUTH, 2002).
He has extensive experience and knowledge in environmental information systems, Geographical Information Systems and remote sensing.
He was a key member of DRAXIS Environmental S.A. (2002 – 2015) and GEOSPATIAL ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES (2015 – 2020), in which he was responsible for the design and implementation of R&D projects in the areas of environmental informatics and GeoICT.
He has more than 20 years of professional experience. During these years he has participated in numerous European and National programs related to environment, and information technologies.
He has more than 50 publications in scientific magazines and international conferences.
