Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. George Rigas was born in Pella, Greece in 1981. He received the Bachelor and MSc degree in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Ioannina in 2003 and 2006 respectively. He also received the PhD in Computer Science, from the same department in 2009. Since 2010 he has been working as a postdoc Researcher in the Unit of Medical Technology and Intelligent Information Systems in the University of Ioannina, Greece. He is an active researcher and software architect. His research interests involve signal processing, machine learning and pattern recognition. He has also published more than 60 papers in journals and international conferences. He has been also involved in the core design and development development of software for applications and medical devices.
