Grigorios Piperagkas received his diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2009 and the MSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Ioannina, in 2012, with specialization in Scientific Computing. He has been employed, among others, in Public Power Corporation and as a research associate at the University of Ioannina, and has published articles on numerical optimization using evolutionary algorithms, with applications in electrical power systems and operations research." During the period Dec. 2015 to Dec. 2017 he was employed as a research associate at the Information Technologies Institute of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas, with research interests spanning robotics, machine learning and computer vision. During the period Oct. 2018 to Sep. 2020 he was employed at the research institute INRIA Paris, working on participatory systems in urban environments and social networking. Since Dec. 2021 he is employed as a research associate at Information Technologies Institute - CERTH with research interests spanning participatory systems and smart cities. "
