Dr. Marija Jankovic received her Diploma, Master’s degree, and PhD in Information Systems from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, where she also gained extensive teaching and research experience. In 2018, she joined the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), where she contributes to European research and innovation projects in trustworthy AI, AI-enabled system testing, smart manufacturing, secure IoT, and human-centric digital systems.

Before joining CERTH, she was a Guest Researcher at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where her work focused on supply-chain integration and smart-manufacturing process design. She has also contributed to international standardization through organizations including the Object Management Group (OMG), the Open Applications Group (OAGi), and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

She currently serves as Chair of the ETSI Technical Committee on Methods for Testing and Specification (TC MTS), which develops methodologies and technologies for specifying and testing ICT systems. Her work within ETSI covers established testing languages ​​and technologies, including TTCN-3 and TDL, as well as emerging approaches for AI system testing, continuous conformity assessment, trustworthy AI documentation, and quality assurance of AI-enabled systems.

Her research and professional expertise include technical interoperability, software testing and quality assurance, testing languages ​​and methodologies, trustworthy and explainable AI, AI system evaluation and conformity assessment, continuous assurance of AI-enabled systems, and the application of artificial intelligence in software engineering. She is particularly interested in bridging research, testing methodologies, and standardization to support the development and assessment of trustworthy AI systems.
