Mr. Ilias Koulalis

Ilias Koulalis received his diploma engineering degree in Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences and his master degree in Computational Mechanics both from the National Technical University of Athens. Ηe has participated in numerous European research projects related to NDT/NDI methods on Composite Structures in Aerospace Industry. In the period of 2013-2018, he was working as researcher and development engineer in R&D team of GMI Aero Paris, France; a CleanSky partner, oriented on providing advanced technologies for repair, processing, NDT/NDI and SHM of composite materials. Currently, he is working as a research fellow at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). His research interests include composite structures, computer vision, robotic sensing, machine learning and AI methods in NDT/NDI.
