Dr. Kosmas Dimitropoulos is a Principal Researcher (Grade B’) at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and a member of the Visual Computing Lab (VCL). He has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses at universities in Greece and abroad, such as at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), the University of Macedonia (Greece), MINES Paris – PSL University (France), and the Karolinska Institute (Sweden). He has also served for more than five years as the academic director of the “AIMOVE – Artificial Intelligence and Movement for Robotics and Interactive Systems” Post-Master Programme for CERTH at MINES Paris – PSL University.

His main research interests lie in the areas of multi-dimensional data modelling and analysis, artificial intelligence, human–computer interaction, and virtual reality. He has received distinctions for publications in international scientific journals and conferences and has been included in the “Stanford/Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists” list in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He serves as principal investigator in European and national research projects and acts as reviewer and editor for international scientific journals.
