Thanasis Korakis is an assistant professor in the ECE department of University of Thessaly. He is also an affiliated faculty with ITI/CERTH.
From 2005 to 2010 he was a research assistant professor in NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering in NY.
His research interests are in the field of wired and wireless networks with emphasis on experimental driven research and on research infrastructures. He is leading the experimental activities of the testbed NITOS (Network Implementation Testbed using Open Source software), an heterogeneous research infrastructure that is open for experimentation to researchers all over the world.
