Dr. Evangelos Kopsacheilis

Dr. Evangelos V. Kopsacheilis received the Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering in 1983 and the PhD degree on computer networks in 1995, from the University of Patras, Greece. He received a Scholarship for Domestic Postgraduate Studies on Digital Systems granted after contest from the Greek Scholarship’s Foundation in year 1984. In May 2018 he joined the Informatics and Telematics Institute at CERTH. He has a 31 years’ experience in research activities. Since 1987 he has participated in 22 R&D projects all in the domain of advanced information and communication technologies, services and applications, including projects in the framework of programs ESPRIT, RACE, AIM II, Health Telematics, ACTS II, IADS, HORIZON2020, etc. Dr. Kopsacheilis was the Coordinator of the Regional Innovation Pole of Central Macedonia, a project with a 4,1 million-euro budget, targeted on the strengthening of the regional innovation system (2007-2009).
