Research Assistant

I graduated in 2022 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. My thesis was on semantic segmentation of street scene images, entitled “Convolutional Neural Networks with application to autonomous driving”. Subsequently, in the context of a European project, I worked on the implementation of computer vision and machine learning algorithms in order to optimize a specific production line. At the same time in the research area I worked on semantic image segmentation in difficult locations such as mines and places with non-existent illumination. My research interests are in the areas of computer vision and machine learning with application to improving quality of life and fighting crime.
