Ioannis Barmpounakis received his Bachelor’s degree from the Computer Science Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2020. After finishing his studies he worked for 4 years as a software engineer in BETA CAE Systems (Cadence). He is currently working as a research assistant at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center of Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH). He is also studying for his Master’s degree in Computer Science Department, AUTh in the field of Digital Media & Computational Intelligence. His research interests involve methods of artificial intelligence & reinforcement learning, simulations, digital twins, graphics, image processing & computer vision.
