Dr. Konstantinos Ioannidis

Konstantinos Ioannidis pursued the Diploma and the Ph.D. degree (with honors) both from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), Greece in 2006 and 2013, respectively. He is currently serves as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (C.E.R.T.H.), Information Technologies Institute (I.T.I.). In past years, he has served as an Administrator of the Computer Centre of the aforementioned DUTH department (via four scholarships) as well as a Software Engineer for telecommunications systems at Intracom-Telecom. During his current occupation, he is involved in several EU H2020 Research & Development projects as researcher and co-coordinator. His research interests mostly involve Computer Vision, Robotics and Optimization reporting more than 15 publications, both peer-reviewed journals and conference papers. He has served as a reviewer for scientific journals in the field of artificial intelligence and image processing (e.g. IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems etc.) as well as reviewer and member of program committee of several international workshops (e.g. IEEE IROS, IEEE ICARV etc.) and member of organizing committee in ACRI2012.
