Georgios Spanos is Assistant Professor of Statistics and Business Analytics at the Business Administration Department of the University of Macedonia and Academic Research Partner at the Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas. Prior to entering academia, he worked for four years as a Software Engineer in the private sector. His expertise lies in the integration of Informatics, Economics, and Statistics to develop data-driven models for business environments, focusing on risk estimation, analysis, and decision support. His research focuses on statistical and machine learning methods, analytics, cybersecurity, and applications related to the Internet of Things (IoT).
