Evlampios Apostolidis received his Diploma from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineer of A.U.Th. in July 2007, writing a diploma thesis on methods for digital image watermarking. In November 2011 he received his MSc. degree from the I.P.P.S. in Information Systems of the University of Macedonia, studying for his dissertation methods for indexing multi-dimensional spaces. From January 2012 he works at the Information Technologies Institute of CERTH. Ιn August 2023 he received his PhD Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Queen Mary University of London, writing a thesis on video summarization using unsupervised deep learning. His research interests include methods for deep learning and algorithms for video analysis, annotation and summarization. He regularly acts as a reviewer for conferences and journals in his domain, and he is also experienced in project dissemination activities planning and organization, and in supporting the administrative coordination of large research projects.
