Dimitrios Balagiannis is an Economist and holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Management. He worked in Saudi Arabia from 2004 to 2005, as Assistant Commercial Manager for the Construction Company Saudi Archirodon Ltd. and his tasks included the coordination and control of the activities of the departments: a) Accounting, b) Warehouse, c) Procurement, d) Technical, e) Personnel for the projects: 1. Power Plant, Stage II Phase I, II, Shoaiba-K.S.A. και 2. Central Facility Yard, Jeddah-K.S.A.
From 2007 to 2021, he was employed by the Department of Research Planning & Support – Proposal Office of the Special Account for Research Funds of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the work subjects of:
– Search for funding opportunities
– Finding partners for collaborations in research projects
– Support (consulting, technical assistance) for drafting research proposals
– Administrative review of research project proposals and issuance of supporting documents
