Dr. Dimitrios Tsoukalas works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH). He holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the Faculty of Applied Informatics – University of Macedonia, under the supervision of Professor Alexander Chatzigeorgiou. He received his B.Sc. degree from the Faculty of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia, his 1st M.Sc. degree in Computer Systems from the University of Macedonia, and his 2nd M.Sc. degree in Intelligent Systems – Computational Intelligence Methodologies and Applications from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, A.U.Th. He has been working at CERTH/ITI since 2015, having participated in a large number of European and National projects. His research interests focus on the areas of software engineering (with emphasis on technical debt, software quality, and security), and artificial intelligence with an emphasis on its applications in software engineering.
