Dimitris Gerakas received his BSc in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his MSc in Data Science from the International Hellenic University, Thessaloniki, in 2024, with a thesis on predictive analytics for basketball performance modeling. He has been working as a Research Associate in AI Cybersecurity at the Information Technologies Institute (I.T.I.) of CE.R.T.H. since January 2025. His research interests focus on adversarial robustness, trust-based mechanisms in decentralized AI systems, and federated learning security — with an emphasis on malicious node detection and decentralized AI security in swarm intelligence architectures. He has contributed to EU research initiatives on end-to-end security, verifiable identity, and privacy-preserving computation in distributed environments.
