Ioannis graduated from the University of Macedonia in 2017, with a degree on Bachelor of Applied Informatics. In the year 2018 he started working as a full-stack web developer at Bet Data Services, a company that provides web gambling services. In less than a year he became responsible of the Live Casino service, after he successfully upgraded its user interface and functionality. In 2019, he enrolled in the educational program “VR-Games-Lab: 3D serious games for Cultural Heritage and Education with the use of Virtual Reality” at the University of Macedonia. Since 2020, he is a research assistant at the Multimedia Knowledge and Social Media Analytics Laboratory (MK-Lab) of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), and his research interests include 3D and VR serious games for cultural heritage and education.
