Research Assistant

Dimoulakis Apostolos has completed his undergraduate studies in 2021 at the Financial and Management Engineering Department (FMED) within the School of Engineering at the University of the Aegean. During his undergraduate thesis, he conducted experimental research to explore the effectiveness of transfer learning between image and natural language processing tasks based on convolutional neural networks. Throughout his undergraduate studies he has worked as an intern at the Construction Laboratory for Particle Detectors at ΚΕΔΕΚ (July 2018 – September 2018) and as a research assistant at the MDE-Lab laboratory of FMED (February 2018 – June 2018). His research interests lie in the fields of machine learning, computer vision and time series analysis.
