Dr. Stefanos Vrochidis received the Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the MSc degree in Radio Frequency Communication Systems from University of Southampton, in 2000 and 2001 respectively. He also holds a PhD degree on Interactive video retrieval using implicit user feedback, Queen Mary University of London (2013). He is a Senior Researcher (Grade Β’) at the Information Technologies Institute (ΙΤΙ) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH).

He has participated in a number of EC-funded and National ICT projects (e.g. ELU, PATExpert, REACH, PESCaDO, CHORUS) and his research interests include multimedia analysis, indexing and retrieval, human computer interaction in multimedia retrieval, patent search, environmental and learning applications. His scientific work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, international conferences and book chapters.
