Dr. Sotiris Diplaris received his PhD from the Department of Electric and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2010 and is currently a Research Associate with Information Technologies Institute in Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), Greece. He has participated as technical co-ordinator in several EU-funded and national research projects related to web and social media analysis, virtual and augmented reality, Arts and AI, intelligent information extraction, semantic web and biomedical informatics.
His research interests include social media content mining, information retrieval, emergent semantics extraction, and AI technologies in the Media, Arts and Culture domains.
