Digital Image & Video Processing Lab, Shanghai University, China
Shanghai University is a comprehensive university with rich diversity of disciplines under the supervision by Shanghai Municipality. It is also a member of the famous “Project 211” in China. The lab of digital image & video processing was founded in 1995 and Prof Zhang Zhaoyang is the chief scientist. There are twenty people including two professors, three vice professors, three lectures and 12 PhD, master students.

The main research interests in our lab include: image & video codec, stereo video codec and video communication. Among them, semantic video object extraction under the framework of MPEG-4, stereo video codec and H.264 software optimization are still in progress. In the past 5 years, we have finished 3 project supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSFC) and 2 key Disciplinary Development Program of Shanghai. Many papers have been published in famous journals and proceedings of intentional conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEE Electronics Letters and Real-Time Imaging etc.
