Kangwon National University, Multimedia Security Lab
The Multimedia Security Lab in Kangwon National University has been leading cutting-edge research on IPMP (Intellectual Property Management and Protection), Digital Watermarking, Rights Expression Language (REL) and Rights Data Dictionary (RDD), Information Hiding, and Data Broadcasting.

The lab currently participates in MPEG-21 standardization and contributes Digital Item Adaptation, File Format, and Event Reporting to MPEG, with Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Seoul National University, Sejong University, and University of Seoul. The lab is developing lightweight IPMP systems based on MPEG-21 and MPEG-4 specifications. T-Commerce solution is an important target of this lab. The T-Commerce, a killer-application over Digital Broadcast, is a TV-based E-Commerce technology.
