Co-operation is an increasingly important prerequisite for capturing a global market. All partners in the SCHEMA Network of Excellence are internationally renowned either for their world-class research or for their products and services.
More specifically the consortium members participate in more than thirty related European and National research projects. Also, two of them are major contributors to both MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 and ten of them already collaborate in COST211quat.
Industrial partners include ALINARI, the oldest and largest international centre of photographic and iconographic documentation, BTexact Technologies, the advanced communications technologies company from BT, and end users such as the Macedonian Press Agency.
All partners have strong links with research centres and companies outside the consortium making possible the continuous expansion of the network.
