Project coordinator of the Network of Excellence is the Centre for Research and Technology - Hellas / Informatics and Telematics Institute (CERTH/ITI) (P1). CERTH/ITI is participating in 12 EC IST projects and 22 National projects and is the co-coordinator of two EC IST projects.

CERTH/ITI will demonstrate algorithms and results relating to image and video segmentation, indexing and retrieval, watermarking for indexing, informational retrieval and knowledge discovery, user interfaces for retrieval, databases and authoring tools. A content-based image search engine for the Internet, developed under the ISTORAMA project, can be visited at http://uranus.ee.auth.gr/Istorama.

CERTH/ITI has successfully organised four international workshops and conferences in the last eight years (ICAV3D 2001 has received an IST Grant) and will organise one international workshop under the SCHEMA Network of Excellence. CERTH/ITI will closely collaborate with the Macedonian Press Agency (P13).
